How to perform the facial:

General routine

• Prepare the treatment area well in advance prior to the client’s arrival – bed should be set up with a pillow for client to lay head on and also an extra one for under the clients’ knees (this takes weight off the clients’ lower back whilst laid flat). Always go that extra mile for the client.
• Fill in a client record card every time client comes for a treatment
• Have one towel on the bed for client to lay on and also one over the pillow, then have 2 towels to ensure client is completely covered and comfy. If you are able to, use a heated blanket under the towels; an extra touch for client’s comfort.  Once client is laid down and becomes relaxed, the body temperature drops.  Don’t let the client be cold.
• Make sure that you have all LA Skincare products set out on trolley / shelf ready to use.
• All products, tools and equipment should be clean and sterilised
• Ensure that your general appearance is clean and tidy, that long hair should be tied back
• Carry out the skin analysis prior to treatment if possible. The client may be wearing make-up which makes this impossible until the superficial cleanse has been applied
• Hot Towels
• Superficial cleanse including removal of eye and lip make-up – Use Squeaky Clean
• Deep cleanse
• Exfoliate
• Hot Towels
• Mask application and do neck and shoulder massage whilst the mask is on.
• Remove mask using damp sponges
• Facial massage
• Moisturise
• Fill in products and treatment outcomes on the client record card
• Aftercare and book another facial treatment prior to the client leaving – around four weeks
• Dispose of all rubbish into a cover waste disposal unit
• Sterilise all equipment after the treatment
