New Years is all about resolutions. Who sets them and breaks them? I am determined to start the New Year in reflecting and re-evaluating some old habits that can be changed.
I know I have neglected myself after throughout the busy Christmas period. Anyone else? WE prioritise everyone else and making sure they are ok.
So now it is time for some ME time – don’t you agree?
Who else plans to take the next twelve months very seriously!? I have listed a few tips and reminders for those who are not sure where to start…
Obvious I know, and I am not talking about being on a diet, just eating better.
Our skin relies on several nutrients to keep its glow and health. With a rich and balanced diet, you can ensure that your skin is getting exactly what it needs; including vitamins A, C, E, as well as good sources of protein.
Plus, eating healthy brings other perks, like weight control and lots of energy, so this resolution goes on top of the list!
Some of my nutrition-tricks for a perfect skin are:
The second golden rule for beautiful skin, the one we all already know, but still have those days we forget or ignore.
Not this year! Let’s get to putting on SPF every day of the year, no matter the time of the year or the weather.
This way we are always protected from the signs of aging, and, more importantly, skin cancer.
As we get older, our skin changes and requires updates to the skincare routine.
Go and have a facial – visit your local facialist and chat about your skin and make changes, if necessary. Reviewing the products and habits is a good idea.
Animal testing in beauty products is completely unnecessary in 2020 and there is no good reason to support it.
LA Skincare has always been cruelty-free and this year I want to make sure that I only support brands that do the same.
No matter how tired or how much wine you drank, never sleep in makeup. It is so easy now, especially with foaming wash cleansers, which remove make up.
Sleeping with our makeup blocks the skin pores, which means blackheads and acne.
Besides, the skin recovers during our sleep, so sleeping with makeup restrains its renewal, which can lead to premature aging.
